4th of July Cake

4th of July is a great celebration. Family gets together, have fun, enjoy the day, and there is always yummy goodies. This is another idea you could use for this upcoming forth of July, is very simple and cheap but still cute. Keep reading for the tutorial.

What you are going to need:
-A cake
-White frosting
-Food colors
-Sandwich bag
-1 kebab stick
-Strawberries (for decoration this is optional)

In a bowl combine the frosting with the food colors mix one in blue and other in red until you have the desired color, put it on a sandwich bag and save for later.

Cover the cake with the frosting being generous, to leave a nice thick layer. I didn't covered the upper left corner because that's where I'm going to put the blue frosting.

Once you covered your cake in white, draw a square in the upper left corner like in the picture above. That's where the stars are going to be.

I got a kebab stick and draw the line on the cake to make it easier to apply the frosting. Just try to go really straight, maybe a ruler might work just fine.

Add the red frosting trying to fill the lines that you just made. I used a knife to help me cover all the spots that got left without the frosting.

With a sandwich bad start adding the stars on the blue frosting. Try to put them at the same distance from each other so they can look even.

And you are all done you can add some strawberries at the bottom of the cake just for presentation, blueberries would look cute too.

Thanks for reading, xoxo.
