I love designing, even tho I didn't go to school for that I find it really awesome to be able to crate cute things with my computer. I was one of the girls who used to play with paint when I was younger and make silly thing in there.
When I grew up and discovered Photoshop pretty much by accident, I absolutely loved it. Is amazing all the things that you can do and how fun it can be.
Now I love that some social medias allows you to modify and express yourself via headers and backgrounds, and in this case I'm talking about YouTube.
If you are familiar with the site you may have noticed that they are going to change the format for their layout in June 5th and it will allow you to customize this header for your channel.
Many of the great YouTubers have already changed it and they channels look amazing. To be honest I was a little sad, because I recently became a YouTube partner via Fullscreen [APPLY HERE], and I didn't liked the fact that the whole background it was going to change, less things to customize and that, but after giving it a try I loved it and I think it looks cute.
Once I got the idea on how to make mine, I decided I really wanted to share with all of you how to make a cute, awesome header for your channel. So I used this website that I found that is completely free and easy to use to make the tutorial.
And this is what I came up with:
To make this I used the channel art specs that YouTube gives you but I did had to re-size it to fit, so I have this other one that you can use to make your own. You can check the specs from YouTube Support [HERE].
But if you don't want to modify the size, you can save the images below and use them to make your design. The first one it has a transparent background which will allow you to design while you know the limits.
|Right Click the Image and Save to your computer.|
The second one will help as reference, I would recommend saving both. You can use this one as a guide for the size and the first image as a guide for the limitations.
|Right click the image and save to your computer.|
Pretty neat right? I hope you found this tutorial helpful, let me know if you would like to watch a tutorial on how to make a background in Photoshop. Thanks for reading my blog, xoxo.
Check out the designs I've made so far.
