Recipe: Beef Empanadas / Hot Pockets

I love this recipe ever since I learned how to make it (yay for my mom that taught me how) Is easy and delicious and you can pretty much fill them with anything.

My favorite fillings are: the one that I used for this recipe, beans, cheese, tinga, pretty much all the things you like hahaha.

For this recipe, you will need:
-2 portions of Dough (GET THE RECIPE HERE)
-Ground Beef
-Spaghetti Sauce
-Green Onions
-Salt and pepper
-Minced garlic

This is the dough I used for the empanadas, and I used two portions to make enough empanadas since they are my family's favorite.
Once you have your dough all ready start prepping the beef. All I did was adding a tablespoon of oil to a hot pan. Add the garlic and the beef until is brownish. I added the green onions when the beef was pretty much done and don't forget the salt and pepper. Now add the spaghetti sauce and let everything boil for a few minutes.

Once the beef is ready, make little tortillas like the one shown in the photo. I made them medium size but you can make them a bit smaller if you want.

Now fill the empanadas with the saucy beef, I would say about 2 tablespoons of it. You can add cheese and it will be amazingly delicious. Now close the empanada and make about 4 to 5 more so you can fit them all in the pan.

Add the oil to the pan and once is really hot place the empanadas there for about 2 to 3 minutes on each side, depending on how hot the oil is but the clue is to turn them when they are getting brownish.

And you are done, this is what they look like, I love them. Check out the video on how I make them in case you need a more visual help.

This is what it looks like I use rice and veggies as a side but you can totally use beans.
And this is what they look like once they are opened. So that's it, thank you so much for reading my blog, xoxo.
