Chilaquiles with Roasted Salsa Recipe (Cooking with The290ss)

Chilaquiles is my favorite breakfast of all the time, I remember since I was a little girl I loved how they taste and how crunchy they are. And they are so cheap and easy to make.

-Tomato sauce
-Salsa quemada or any salsa you like

The first thing that I do is cut the tortillas in squares of around 1 inch each and put them in a pan with hot oil until they get crunchy.

Add the onions.

And the cilantro and let them cook for about 2 minutes so they release the flavors.

Once the onions are starting to get translucent, add the tomato sauce and mix it with the tortillas.

Add the salsa quemada to the chilaquiles and mix them well.

Now is time for the cheese and some salt if you want.

This last step is optional but it makes them taste so good, just trow some jalapeño in there and you are done. If you need a more visual idea of what I did, just check out the video below.
